Important message concerning unauthorized practices of Expo Guide & Fair Guide with respect to SPORTEL participants

SPORTEL is aware that its clients are being targeted via mailings by Expo Guide and Fair Guide, both online worldwide exhibition directory services that requests SPORTEL participants, in particular exhibitors, to complete and return a form, ostensibly to obtain a free listing in their online directories.

In fact, Expo Guide and Fair Guide's confusing documents constitute a two-year contract to purchase advertising space and those clients who inadvertently respond find themselves threatened with legal action if they do not pay €1,181 per year, via cheque or wire transfer to an Italian bank account for this unwanted advertising.

SPORTEL wishes to make it known that we have no business relationship whatsoever with Expo Guide and/or Fair Guide, and have not authorized Expo Guide or Fair Guide to use SPORTEL's name or logo.

SPORTEL in no way endorses the business practices of Expo Guide or Fair Guide, and we urge our clients to use utmost caution in the event they are contacted by either of these companies.
